Fly Tipping at the Rec

Wiltshire Council is warning Colerne residents that the continued provision of the Colerne mini recycling located at the Recreation Ground is at risk due to repeated fly tipping at the site. Some local residents have been illegally depositing domestic waste including bulky items in the compound; not only is this an offence under Section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, it also represents a significant cost to the Council to clear. This cost is directly jeopardising the future of the site.
